Text Box: Internet Fraud This is the part of my site that is dedicated to educating you, the consumer, on the risks involved in purchasing anything over the internet. It will be my attempt express to you the things that I have learned the hard way both as the buyer and the seller of German Shepherd Dogs. There are many wonderful, honest people in this business who will truly try to help you locate what you are looking for, but unfortunately, there are some both in the business and out of it who are crooked and will scam you in anyway possible, just to make a quick dollar. I personally feel that this is a despicable way to make a living and a cowardly way to exist, but this is the world that we live in. This page is not meant to frighten you, just to provide you ideas of ways in which to protect yourself. A few points: Cashier’s checks and Postal Money Orders ARE NOT THE SAME AS CASH. I always thought that this was true, but the latest scam is to print these fake checks (believe me, they even have water marks), send them to you for payment and then request that you cash them and send some money (usually via Western Union), to some other person. A shipping company or to pay for a life insurance policy while applying for a bank loan. Beware and NEVER send money until these checks have cleared. In my experience, they will even come from real banks, but the account number is bad or the person will stop payment on the check. ALWAYS PAY BY CREDIT CARD, If possible. If the person is fraudulent and does not deliver the goods, then you will only be liable for $50 and usually the credit card will drop this fee. If you do not have a high enough balance, pay the money to your credit card first to increase your spendability, and then pay for the item. If the seller does not have credit card capabilities, ask them if they will set up a paypal account. This is simple and they can tie it directly to their bank account. This also allows them security. If you do not have the funds, then Paypal will not pay them. Business Policies of BLITZSTRAHL SHEPHERDS, LLC: If you ask us to find you a particular dog, we will do so, but you must understand that we offer no personal guarantee on any dog that is not our own. We do value our business contacts and have trusted relationships with the people that we deal with in the U.S. and abroad. We only list dogs on our website for sale that we feel is of the quality that we would like to have in our kennel and we guarantee that all that we represent about a particular dog is accurate to the best of our knowledge. We prefer Credit Card or Bank Wire as forms of payment. We invite any potential buyer to come to our kennel and view the dogs or puppies for themselves. We accept checks as forms of payment, but keep in mind that we will not reserve any animal until the check has cleared, which may take up to 10 days. WE WILL NOT RESERVE ANY PUPPY OR DOG WITHOUT “CASH IN HAND”. Final sales and the release or shipment of dogs or puppies will not happen without a signed purchase agreement between both Blitzstrahl Shepherds and the buyer. This is to protect us both and is common practice.
