King in NC: When my husband and I decided that our family was ready for a dog, I spent a lot of time researching the best breed and the best breeder .  The long search certainly paid off, since it led us to Blitzstrahl Shepherds! From our first interactions with Jenny, who is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, to the day we drove up to the beautiful estate where the dogs are bred, we felt that we had a made a good choice.  Our Shepherd, Uli Sue, is almost a year old now, and continues to impress us (and everyone we know) with her intelligence, beauty, and loving demeanor.  Our 5-year-old and 1-year-old sons love to play with her and she is a wonderful companion to my husband, who works from home.   We also feel very safe with Uli keeping a close eye on the house and yard, and unwanted solicitors back away from the door quickly when she puts on her show of barking and jumping at the windows.   It is amazing how well Uli can read a situation and know how to behave appropriately.  She is kind and sweet to us and to our guests, but can recognize a stranger in a moment.   She is also extremely healthy and has never been sick.  Her teeth are gorgeous and gleaming white and her coat and skin are impeccable.  I also recommend the raw food (100% beef) that Blitzstrahl Shepherds provides.  They have the best prices for shipped raw food and the best brand.   As a biologist, I would not feed my dog a grain-based diet, and I am pleased to know that Uli's mother also had the health benefits of a raw meat when she was pregnant with Uli.   What an incredible dog she is!  Her uncanny intelligence makes her a joy to train and her snuggly sweetness makes us all so happy to have her in our family.   (D-Litter vom Blitzstrahl Puppy.)
