About Us...
At Blitzstrahl Shepherds we have four generations of love for the German Shepherd Dog. My Grandfather has trained German Shepherds for much of his life and lives on site and watches over the dogs. My mother and I have both had GSDs for our entire lives and in May we welcomed Alyvia to the family who, along with her older sister and brother, make up our fourth generation.
Growing up in an environment where I always had a German Shepherd by my side, from teething, teenage years, through present, has given me an infallible love for this breed. My experience in health and animal behavior comes from working as a veterinary technician in charge of training at a large, state of the art practice outside of Charleston, SC for a number of years, while pursuing a degree in pre-med biology from the College of Charleston.
Our underlying theory at Blitzstrahl Shepherds is that the learning process never stops. Just as we expect our dogs to deal with the pressure of learning and perfecting their skills, we also realize that there are no experts, and we must educate ourselves in the quest to better our breed. We will ALWAYS have more to learn and experience, and we do so intensely, with passion— our canine partners always at our sides, hoping to pass this knowledge to the next generation.
